Best quality of equipment and services,very good shop!
Hired a Santa Cruz Nomad for two days and the guys were, fast and professional with set up. The bike was near new and in excellent condition. Much better than rentals I've had in other parts of the world. The shop has a notably wide range of clothing which is well worth a look. Note, the shop is closed between 1 and 3 pm for lunch. I was told about the security deposit and that this was a "hold" on your card. However this does actually come out of your account - be aware. Based on earlier reviews I will watch with interest how long this takes to come back. Out riding on my very first descent I rode a rocky section, dinged the rim and lost all air from the tyre. The included repair kit got me riding again and with no further instances of flats. So I suspect there was insufficient air in the tyre to begin with. Upon return I felt the guys at the shop were fair regarding the repair of the damaged rim. They charged cost of part (rim) replacement only and waived half of it given the possibility the tyre wasn't at appropriate pressure. I will update this review once we see how the deposit return goes. Otherwise a good shop to deal with and a fair response to damage.
I have been in to Legend bike shop on several occasions and had my bike serviced/repaired there. They are a great bunch of people who are knowledgeable and it is a very relaxed atmosphere. Good kit and they were helpful in sourcing stuff for me when not in stock.
This is the best bicycle shop in Chamonix, hands down. Great workshop and quick repairs plus a good selection of mountain bikes for any riding in the valley. In the winter time they have a really good selection of Skis for touring and snowboard stuff. They are much more honest than the other shop in town called zero g who did a lot of on authorized work on my bike and tried to charge me extra.
